Metal chasing do-it-yourself at home: machinery, materials and tools

Embossing embossed images or inscriptions on the metal surface is called the metal chasing. This type of applied art designers are used to create exclusive decorative interior items, jewelry, dishes, etc. In previous times in Treasury, there were workshops on chasing coins.

Metal chasonka do-it-yourself at home

Basics of the process

The image is created by blowing hammer by the tool applied to the metal surface. The print configuration depends on the form of the working part of the tool. Then it is consistently rearranged and repeat the operation until the entire drawing is knocked down. Sophisticated images are minted with several tools with a working part of different shapes.

Depending on preferences, the metal chasing is performed in different styles:

  • historical;
  • Old Russian;
  • Eastern;
  • Georgian;
  • Moroccan;
  • Uzbek;
  • Modern.

The quality of the images depends on the degree of preparation of the chaser.

Regardless of the style of each wizard, your "handwriting" perform work. Despite the seeming difficulty, it is not difficult to master the chasing on the metal.

Types of chasanka

Depending on the form of the subject and complexity, the drawing of the chasing happens:

  1. Openwork, in appearance similar to metal lace. Work starts with cutting background, then the prepared lines are carried out the final cutting. Since the thickness of openwork partitions is small, when conducting annealing, it is necessary to follow so that they do not melt. Openwork chasing is often applied to bulk items as an finishing finish.
  2. Contour, which is minted on a sheet metal without a predetermined relief. Visually, such a chacon is similar to engraving, but differs from it convex or concave forms. This method is used for the manufacture of decorative elements of interiors and for applying an ornament to flat surfaces.
  3. On bulk items. The most difficult to perform the species of the chasing, as the drawing is knocked out on the curved surface. However, experienced masters cope with work without any special difficulties.
  4. Relief. It is also referred to as complex species. Work starts from knocking out the pattern contours, then the image is made relief. At the final stage, align the details of the image and polish.

Materials used

Jewelry with chasing traditionally make silver and gold. Most of the masters work with cheaper metals:

  1. Copper thick from 0.3 to 1.5 mm. It plastic, easily processed, depending on the brand with a light or dark shade of red. Copper and its alloys more often than other metals are used to decorate the premises.
  2. Red copper, whose sheets can be rolled to a thickness of 0.05 mm. Due to the softness, relief chasing is easily performed even on bulk products of complex shape. High resistance to corrosion allows you to install decorative elements made of copper chased on house facades.
  3. Brass various brands with golden yellow color of different shades. High (up to 50%) The content of zinc increases the hardness, reduces compliance. However, despite the smaller than that of copper, the plasticity brass is easy to minimize.
  4. Tompacom - a variety of brass with low (up to 10%) zinc content. Due to the large proportion of copper, the metal is turned red with a yellow tint. Alloy with an aluminum additive up to 5% acquires coloring, indistinguishable from gold color. From Tompaka make icons, medals for anniversaries, cheap price jewelry, decorative elements of interiors.
  5. Aluminum and its alloys. Metal is easy to minimize, but due to the low melting point, caution should be taken when heat treatment so that the drawing is not deformed. Duralumin is well imitating silver, but it is difficult to work with it, since it is possible to crack the relief due to the relief of the relief.
  6. The tedies on which the beginners work the skills of the chasing. However, the masters also do not neglect this affordable material.
  7. Black low carbon metals. The blanks are first annealed and etched to get a decopyr on which images with a large terrain or drawings with small parts minimize.
  8. Roofing iron for chasing contour images with shallow relief without background and small details.
  9. Stainless steel thickness from 0.5 to 0.8 mm. The metal looks beautifully, however, due to high strength and dense structure, it is difficult to knocked out. High resistance to corrosion allows you to make stainless steel memorial boards and signs on monuments, monuments.
  10. Melchior and nezilberome - nickel alloys with a large compound of copper (81 and 65%, respectively), so they are plastic, easily polished. Chemical treatment surfaces make golden, silver or imitation under the ancient bronze.

On metal for the chasing should not be dents, scratches, stains, bundles. If the chasing is carried out on a resin substrate, you will need bitumen №4 or 5, and to remove kerosene or machine oil. Alternatively, we use plasticine, birch or lime chumbs, felt or rubber mats, lead plates. Grinding and polishing are performed by quartz sand and powdered pimples. Chemical treatment is carried out:

  • saline, sulfur, nitric acids;
  • Potash;
  • sulk acid copper.

Equipment and tools

The workplace of the Chekhanger except the workbench is equipped with plumbing tees, electric sharpening, wardrobe or rack for folding tools, materials, reagents, etc. Set of equipment complement:

  • Capacity and electric stack for heating bitumen;
  • two bags of 0.5x0.5 m from tarpaulin with dry fine grained sand;
  • Baths for chemical solutions;
  • Drawer with wood sawdresses for drying blanks;
  • soldering lamp for annealing;
  • rubber gloves for chemical treatment;
  • tarpaulin mittens to work with hot blanks;
  • Metal slab for editing.
Basic tools for metal chasing

Basic tools for metal chasing

The main tools for chasing are called the checks. They are made from high carbon steel in the form of a square or round rods of a length of 12 - 18 cm of different sections. The bottom is called the battle. The middle plot is thickened to make it easier to hold in hand. Depending on the shape of combat checks, the names are given:

  • tubes create rounded recesses;
  • The bypass conduction lines in the form of a series of points;
  • Kancharniki applies image contours;
  • shuthesors with rough or smooth fighting level background;
  • Purproims are performed from the back of the back;
  • SCHs with a semicircular or direct battle are stuffing the background;
  • Figures are applied by non-standard form.

Types of Chekanov

Changes from solid wood perform the same functions as metal, but in size more. To work with them will require a wooden hammer (cynicha). Such calcanes are used to create large drawings with deep relief. Metal hammers knock out major images and shock the check. Therefore, one side is made spherical, and another flat.

Marking and mechanical processing are performed:

  • Chertilka, metal line, circulation, as a carbon;
  • scissors and hacksaw for metal;
  • Lobzik when applying openwork chasing;
  • Personnels from instrumental steel;
  • Files with shallow and large notch.

Technology Chacking

The work is performed in the following order:

  • On paper draw an image in a natural value;
  • in size sketch from the metal sheet, a plate with allowances are cut off, which are needed for mounting on the substrate or when designing in the frame;
  • The workpiece is ignited with subsequent alignment;
  • on the front side are applied by a layer of white gouache or paint;
  • The image is applied to the metal through the copy across the copy, then rub the fucking;
  • On the blank, fixed on the substrate, first knock out the outer contour of the pattern and the inner lines, then the relief items.

At the final stage, a decorative finish is carried out:

  • grinding to remove irregularities and roughness;
  • Polishing, after which the product will acquire a finished look, and the metal increases the resistance to corrosion;
  • Patinating (parting) - processing with sulfur and chlorine solutions for antique imitation;
  • color of brass and copper products with metallized paints;
  • oxidation by chemical solutions to impart the surface of the color from green to black tones;
  • enameling glass alloys of different colors are used to decorate small products or individual parts;
  • Towing - driving a thin wire from another metal to highlight the outline or image details.

Prior to the start of decorative treatment, the product is washed, degreased, dried in wood sawdust.

The process of chasing do it yourself

Learn the art of chasing starts with simple images that it is not difficult to find through the Internet in free access. After mastering the skills of working with different types of checks, go to complex compositions. To fulfill the first volumetric images, it is better to choose copper.

It is important to learn how to behave correctly. His hold, slightly rejecting back, her fingers, not using the little finger. In order not to limit the freedom of movement, the hand hold on the weight, without relying the elbow on the worktop. The tool is promoting forward after applying the imprint of the desired depth. When performing cacking on copper with their own hands, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of plasticine to the surface of the workpiece, so that the check is better slid.

To improve the plasticity, the metal sheet is ignited. The chasing starts with applying outdoor contour lines on the front surface. With the offline, the contour is pulled out after packing internal lines. Then stuff and align the main relief. Work is completed with decorative processing.

Since the finishing finish is performed by toxic substances when working at home, it is necessary to follow the safety and storage of aggressive liquids. Processing is carried out inside the exhaust cabinet or provide efficient ventilation of the room. Tanks with reagents are closed with well-fitting corks.

Currently, the chasing is very popular. Therefore, after the development of this type of metal artistic processing, a profitable business can be organized. Thematic drawings can be easily found on the Internet and based on them to create original compositions.

Metal chasing is a kind of decorative and applied art and the type of cold metal processing. It is the process of applying a flat or volumetric pattern to a metal sheet using a special tool and execution techniques.

In essence, this is the process of artistic metal processing. Both varieties are used to decorate facades and interiors of public and private houses, paintings, weapons, kitchen utensils, daily household items, precious metal products.

Metal chasing in their work is widely used by designers and builders. Nowadays, this is a popular type of art, which is in demand and amazes with its diversity. Requires the highest skill from the artist.

Perform the chasing with your own hands Nazelly, if you know the varieties of skill, the manufacturing nuances, the materials used and develop their handwriting.

Essence of the process

The essence of the technique of chasing is to exposed to the tool for the chasing blows of acceleration hammer. The metal remains an imprint corresponding to its type. Performing multiple strikes, the relief is obtained, which corresponds to the sketch.

The shape of the picture is transmitted with great expressiveness and accuracy, depends on the tools used during the operation, which the chasoker uses. At the same time, the quality of work depends on its qualifications and skill. Each master has its own style of work.

Metal embossing on color and black metals varies from the type and technology of execution.

Metal Chacking Types

Distinguish the following types of chasing:

  • Relief;
  • flatterene;
  • contour;
  • volume;
  • openwork;
  • decorative textured;
  • by casting.

Applied materials and tools

The metal on which it is planned to perform a chasing must have a viscosity, plasticity, the ability to change the form under the influence of force, not destroying, exposed to polish. They include sheets:

  • copper;
  • aluminum;
  • brass;
  • Melchior;
  • Nezilber;
  • iron for the roof;
  • steel stainless small and soft (decapira);
  • gold;
  • silver;
  • Foil.

Materials for chasing have different thickness, it varies widely from 0.5 to 3 mm and depends on the type of metal used.

The tools enjoyed by chasters and lovers to make their own hands is a special shape of the checks, hammers and diaper.

The paper uses those made from doped tool steel U7 or y8, with a diameter of 12 ÷ 15 cm of different diameters to create:

  • convex spherical imprint (tube);
  • a solid line in the form of continuously running points (bypass or consumables);
  • the contour of the future drawing and decoration of the background with points (canafarnica or davilniki);
  • background leveling (globotics with rough or smooth surface);
  • Background spaces (snes with different types of blades: semicircular, flat);
  • Purples from the inside (pupbles);
  • Figure print.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Your tool must have every chaconner, it can be made independently. To do this, you need to buy a steel rod of a certain diameter and make a check.

Before sticking the form of a rod, it must be heated to a bright red color, cool and only after these actions begin to make the tool. After making a checkman is subject to quenching.

At home this operation can be performed using a soldering lamp. Again heat up to red and omit into machine oil for slow cooling.

Sometimes it is used by the checks made of wood, so it will take a wooden hammer called a wooden hammer to apply for such instrument.

Hammers for chasing should be with a special form of a brisk, handle and a certain weight. The working surface of the components was polished.

The handle is made of wood, be sure to be a curved form with roundings at the end. Weight must match the power of the chashanger.

It allows you to conveniently place the tool in your hand and tapping and shocking with the necessary force.

Creating a silicone form for casting

The drawer is necessary to translate the drawing of the future chasing on the metal.

In addition, it may be necessary to need such fastening tools, as Rashapili, Nadfili, Files, Scissors for Metal, Lobziki, Pliers, Pobbiers.

A still a number of fixtures are used: resin cookware, tinting baths, tool stands, vice, sandpaper, grinding and copy paper, plasticine.

When performing work, you will need utility devices, such as substrates and bags of different density, as well as consumables that are used to give a product of protective properties that reinforcing and decorating it, and if necessary, allowing you to make your work beautifully.

As a substrate, pegs are used wooden birch or linden, felt, rubber or plasticine mats, lead plates.

The main stages of the chasanka

The work in this technique is carried out in this order:

  • Sketch drawing;
  • Cut the plate from the selected metal corresponding to the size of the pattern, with the addition of the allowance (for consolidation and design at the end of work in the frame);
  • If necessary, the workpiece is subjected to burning and align;
  • perform the operation of degreasing;
  • cover one side of a gouache or paint white;
  • tolerate sketch using copy paper and drain on the workpiece;
  • covered with nitroloma (you can not cover);
  • worked out by the corresponding species of the corresponding view all contours and lines, controlling the position of the Chekane and the part where the chasing is performed;
  • Perform a decorative finish.

Special attention is paid to the position of Chekane. It should be slightly tilted back, be in the left hand between the fingers so that the little finger is not involved. The elbow does not relieve, is on weight. It provides good tool manipulating. Shoots are applied with a hammer, moving forward, while it is kept in his right hand.

Performing artistic chasing do it yourself

The chasonka, made with his own hands, will decorate any interior, it is a good gift to friends and colleagues, may even become a profitable business. And it is not necessary to be an artist. Now on the Internet you can find a lot of drawings. By adding their taste, fantasy and having mastered the osses of chasing, you can create unique masterpieces.

For beginners it is recommended to complete the chasing with a simple pattern. So you can learn how to transfer the pattern on the plate, circling the contour of the image by the consumility, lower the background with a bulkboard, create a volume of the pillow, separate the background of the camphornik.

And only having tried all the tools in the case and having received a positive result, start decorated with the work of any complexity. The drawing is minimized only by a properly selected tool, so it is necessary to buy it or make it yourself, as well as correctly pick up the utility devices and execution techniques.

But not to forget about the workplace arrangement. It must be comfortable and well lit.

Features of copper chasanka

Copper sheets are the perfect material for the manufacture of artistic chasing. The material is well drawn, the image is obtained volumetric. Before applying the pattern, the copper sheet must be warm up to a red color to improve elasticity.

Copper chasing, as well as on another metal or foil, begins with sketch transfer. To do this, you will need a copy paper and a drawer. At the next step, it is recommended to create a fat surface. This will contribute to the slip tool.

Plasticine will be needed for the operation.

Copper chasing begins with the processing of the contour lines of the workpiece from the front side. An invalid circuit is pulled out after applying additional lines using the corresponding Chekane operation.

Next, begged to pull and adjust the main volume, pulling it out or omit. The final kind of chasing can be given by tinting, patinating or oxidation.

These operations will allow you to change the color of the copper chasing, while special chemical compositions are used.

After deciding to perform your embodiment of the chasing, you need to know the subtleties of the execution of a particular operation. Many materials are toxic and require compliance with safety regulations not only during work, but also when storing compositions.

Operations must be performed in the exhaust cabinet or in a well-ventilated room, and storage utensils should be closed with impregnated plugs. Before applying the decorating layer and after operation, the chasing is washed, degreases and sucked.

In the latter case, hydrofins are used that easily absorb moisture.

It is forbidden to wipe the finished chasing with fabric material: it can damage the decorative film.

Ways to change the color of copper chasing can be found on the Internet and take advantage of the recommendations, and you can come up with your original method.

We offer to watch a video on the chasing on a copper sheet:

We ask those who are engaged in the manufacture of chasing on metal, share in their experience and tell about their failures and achievements.

The chasing was made in ancient times and such products were such expensive that only rich could afford such a luxury. Now in our time not only everyone can buy it, but also to do at home.

How? This will be discussed in our article. We will look at the Master Class of Chacking from Foil with their own hands, which can be hung or put at home. As a gift, she is also perfect for a gift.

To begin with, we consider a simple option to create a chasing.

We start with simple

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

In any store you can always buy ready-made sets for creativity. But it is much more interesting to do everything from beginning to end to the very end, and also invent a drawing. You only need efforts and patience.

Materials will be needed:

  • Foil sheet or aluminum bank;
  • Substrate under the foil sheet. Important: The thickness of the foil sheet, the softer there should be a substrate. The substrate is suitable felt, rubber;
  • To apply the drawing, you will need a tool. As it can serve a wand for sushi, a brush (its solid tip), not a writing handle and so on;
  • stencil, pattern pattern, and you can come up with yourself;
  • scissors;
  • Line.

Let's start making a chasing. Take the bank. Both the bottom cut off. Now cut the jar from one edge and straighten up to get a sheet. Now the line is racing the edges and cut them. The option of using a foil sheet is not excluded.

Now put the material face down to the substrate. The drawing then turns out in the mirror image. Now put stencil on the sheet and use the tool to press the picture. You can urge either a solid line or intermittent. Now in this way you can make the frame.

Gift native and loved ones

Each child at least once, but gave her parents to her parents made by their own hands. Undoubtedly, parents were happy, seeing a small surprise from her baby. One of the options for a gift can be a chacon for dad. Today we will consider it in stages, how can you make a cute "machine."

  • foil;
  • cardboard;
  • tool (tassel, wand for sushi);
  • pattern or stencil;
  • The substrate (it may be an album or felt).

  • Now with the help of the same tool we make points around the typewriter.

Cover now separate parts of the machine. You can start with the windows.

  1. Turn the foil now and circle the same detail along the contour.
  2. If you turn the work, then what should happen:
  3. We are then doing the rest of the car according to the same principle.
  4. Now we turn the foil and supply over the office and in the details of the machine tool again.
  5. As a result, you get such a wonderful present for your parents.

Now the opposite side is put on the table our work. Take cardboard.

  • Then impose cardboard on foil.

The gift is ready! If there is a suitable frame, then you can invest your work on this frame. For children, the process will seem very exciting, you may not doubt. Girls on the same principle can make a flower for mom.

  • And in the following videos you can see master classes for the creation of chasing.

Today, we will demonstrate a master class on the study of the technique of chasing from the most ordinary foil quickly and easily with their own hands for children in stages. The chasing is an ancient art of artistic metal sheets of metal, type of metal plastic. In the old days, such products were very expensive, since the method of their manufacture was very laborious. The metal sheet had to be finely flattered off manually, and then with jewelry accuracy and accuracy to it a point drawing using special tools. Such technique was used, for example, for the manufacture of salary icons, where combined with other methods of decorating a metal surface: engraving, black and inserts from precious stones.

Learning a step-by-step master class: Foil chasing do it yourself

  1. Now the simplest imitation of the chasing is capable of performing even a child.

    On sale you can find ready-made sets for creativity:

  2. But, perhaps, more interesting and, undoubtedly, it is much cheaper to make a cracker himself from beginning to end, inventing your drawing, and the materials for such a craft can not only buy in the store, but even take the same knuckles.
  3. Consider stages, how to fulfill such work yourself.
  4. As a result, on your desk there should be about such a set of materials and tools:
  5. ... or this is, if you are ready to take up work a little more complicated:
  6. Operating procedure:
  1. Cut the tin sheet from the can.

    This method is suitable for older guys, or parents can help here. It is necessary to carefully, so as not to cut down, cut off the jar from the can and bottom, cut the resulting tube along and straighten it to get a smooth sheet. With the help of the ruler, align the edges, scissors exactly cut them.

    Preschoolers and younger schoolchildren are better not to make such complex operations, but use ready-made foil sheets.

  2. Put the foil on the facial side down: the drawing on the finished product will be in the mirror image.

    You can apply a stencil from above and take a gently with a pressure stick along the contour, and you can draw your picture on the foil marker and only then to put the image with a wand. You can draw a solid line, short strokes, dots.

    Caution: Try not to break through Foil!

  3. Using a ruler with a pitch with pressure, draw a frame over the contour by retreating one centimeter from each edge.
  4. The finished product can be inserted into the frame or gently glue into the cardboard, bending the edges of the foil sheet around the cardboard base. Girls can decorate their work by self-adhesive rhinestones or paint it with transparent gel paints with sequins.

It remains only to put your chasing as a decoration on a shelf or hang on the wall. And you can also please the gift for any holiday of relatives or friends.

Other variations of the manufacture of such works are possible - both simpler and more complicated. We present to your attention several video instructions for children for making imitation chasing on foil.

Metal chasing

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metalThe chasing is a method of metal processing, in which the image is applied to the workpiece in the form of a shallow relief, made using special tools having tips of various shapes.

The art of chasing was known to mankind from ancient times when skilled craftsmen did amazingly beautiful chased bracelets, bowls, trays, as well as belts from chased plates. But gradually the chasing was replaced by others, easier in the manufacture of products. And only in the middle of the 20th century, the revival of this ancient decorative - applied art began.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metalMetal chasing

The technique of making the chasing is to apply a pattern or inscription by knocking out a given image on a metal plate. Surprisingly beautiful products of the ancient masters were preserved to this day, which laid the basics of the original chasing technique.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

The metal chasing is considered the most complex type of chased art, as in the process of working with a metal sheet there is a need to create a drawing and relief. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the texture and features of the properties of each metal and know the qualitative characteristics of all materials used.

Previously, precious metals were most often used for the manufacture of chased products - gold and silver. To date, the Master preferred cheaper and affordable types of metals.

Among the most common materials that are used for the manufacture of the chasing can be called the following:

  • Copper - The chasing is performed on rolling metal sheets or plates with a thickness of 0.3 - 1, 5 millimeters. Most often used sheets of copper of various brands. The plasticity of copper, its fuel and ease of processing, as well as beautiful reddish shades in various versions always attracted masters. It must be said that copper chased images always look amazing, and will become a real decoration of the modern interior.
  • Red copper - Exceptionally plastic and fatty material, widely used for the manufacture of chasing. The softness of copper allows you to give it various forms and apply textured embossed images. From red copper you can make the finest sheets with a thickness of no more than 0.05 mm. High anti-corrosion properties allow the use of copper chasens as elements of the outdoor decor of buildings.

  • Brass - brands L96, L90 and L80. Brass is an alloy based on copper with the addition of zinc, the mass fraction of which can be up to 50%. Sometimes up to 10% of other components are added to the alloy, aluminum, manganese and some other components. The distinctive quality of brass is beautiful golden - yellow shades of various colors, thanks to which the masters widely use this alloy for chasing works.

The brass is easy to cut, polished and perfectly welded with different types of soldiers. For brass leaf, chased images are well applied, although it is somewhat harder and inferior to copper on plastic qualities.

  • Red brass - A variety of brass alloy made with the addition of zinc (3 - 12%). Tompac is characterized by a reddish - yellow shade, which looks great in artistic products. Most often, the TOMPAC is used for the manufacture of icons, anniversary medals, high-quality jewelry, as well as decorative dishes, VAZ and candlesticks.

Checking do it yourself

What is a chasenka? This is one of the types of decorative - applied art - embossed, exclusive paintings made on metal in a specific technique.

The chasing in the artistic version will be a very good decoration of your interior course, if it is done with your own hands. With a great desire, patience and perfection, the work itself will give you great pleasure, and the product will turn on the wall for many years.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Checking do it yourself, if you decide to make a picture as a gift, then it will also have a considerable value as handmade. But for the beginning, still you should start with a simple, simple picture to master the execution technique and fill your hand.

What to use metal

A little about the metal on which the picture will be performed. The fact is that the same picture on different metal will be obtained differently, it happens because the different iron stretches in different ways.

For the painting, brass, aluminum or copper sheet is best suitable, but it should be noted that copper is drawn better, why the pictures are obtained more voluminous, which is best suited for artistic chasing.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Galvanized iron is drawn worse, respectively, the drawing will be less voluminous, so it is better to accompany the facades in such a way, carnisy, drainage pipes and roof fragments.

Performing artistic chakeanka

Checking with your own hands - to perform artistic chasing at home is not difficult, but for this you will need materials, tools, as well as desire, patience and perfection.

LED backlight in LCD TV

To work, you will need:

  • Aluminum sheet 1 mm thick.
  • Rubber sheet and plywood - 500 x 500 sizes 1 cm thick.
  • Two checks are the contour and volume, which can be made independently.
  • Hammer.
  • Plasticine.
  • Copy paper.
  • Sketch.

Work process

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

The chasonka do it yourself, before proceeding to work, you should prepare the metal so that it becomes soft and pliable, rolling the sheet to redness, but do not overdo it, otherwise it can just melt. After heating, the metal is lowered and becoming more elastic, which contributes to better relief stretching.

When the metal is ready, put it on the rubber, move the clear picture using the copier, if it is gently reinforced by the contour using a pencil or a marker. Then ride plasticine, it is necessary to create a bold surface, which contributes to the best slip tool.

Now determine which contours you will pull on the front side, and which from the wrong one. Start in the face of the face of the picture, and then turn the sheet and, focusing on the conducted lines, start pulling out the outline contour, if the orientations are not enough, then apply additional lines of involving fragments.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Checking with your own hands when you spend all the contour lines on both sides, you can start pulling the main volume. Here you are already focusing, visually determining where and how much you need to pull out and supplement the volume and how much the plasticity of the metal will allow.

When the work is completed, and the general view of the drawing is satisfied with you, put the picture with the front side on the plywood sheet and prescribe throughout the plane. Look at the result, let it see if necessary that you think and repeat the procedure. If everything suits you, then you can start toning.

Tinting paintings

There are several ways to tinted aluminum.

  1. Take a piece of Berestov, set fire to it and squeeze the surface of the picture. Then soda kerosene and cover with varnish.
  2. Apply a thin layer of olifes from the face of the picture and start to warm the leaf from the wrong side, holding it over the fire. Here you follow how to diminish the tone, keep shortly - light dimming, if you need darker, then hold the longer over the fire. After the desired tones are achieved, cover the surface with varnish.

Picture ready.

Chacking - technique for performing works of decorative and applied art, in which works are created from a thin sheet metal, using special tools - checks.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

The chasonka is one of the oldest types of art. Many are fond of chasing: and professional masters and lovers. They show their work at exhibitions that go in our country.

The possibilities of chasing are quite wide. With it, they create monumental art panels, paintings, etc. The metro station, public and household premises decorate the metro stations.

We know several methods of chasing, which will be described below. And now a few words about the materials used in the chasing.

The sheet metal intended for the chasing is presented with increased requirements. The main requirement is the high plasticity of the metal. Therefore, when choosing a sheet metal on this pay special attention,

Copper. Sheet copper has many brands, some (special) copper brands are not used for chasing due to their large hardness and low plasticity. These include brands of phosphorous copper: MF-1, MF-2, MF-3 and other brands having additives that increase hardness and reduce plasticity. Most often for chasing, copper sheets of brands of MO, M1, M2, MH are used.

Note. The brands on the sheet metal are written on one side of the black incommable paint. Brass. Brass, like copper, there can be different brands. Some brands of brass do not apply for chasing.

The main brands of brass, which go for chasing, are considered: TOMPACK (L96, L90), semi-faca (L85, L80). In addition, it is possible to use LS74-3, LS64-2, LS63-3, LA85-05, LA77-2, LA67-2D.

Melchior and Neanilber. Some copper alloys that have nickel in their composition are called Melchior and Nezilber. They are very similar to silver in appearance, so the chased products from these alloys have increased value.

Major brands of Melchior and Neanilbera, going to chascribed products: MN19, MN-70-30, IRT-15, MNZHMTS-30-08-1, NM81, NMZO.

It should be noted that the chased household items (cups, dishes, etc.), created from these alloys, in contrast to the same items made from copper and brass, can be used for their direct intended purpose - they are harmless.

Aluminum. Aluminum recently is increasingly used to create chased products. This is explained by its good plasticity and the ability to simulate it under silver with the help of special surface treatment.

  • The most chassis brands of aluminum, going to the chasing: JSC, A1, A2, AZ.
  • Sometimes for chased products having a relatively large and not particularly convex relief, we use soft grades of stamps: AMC, AMG, AMGS, AK2, AK4, AK6, AK8, Hell O, Ad1, Hell.
  • For chasing, a sheet metal listed above grades with a thickness of 0.15 mm to 1 mm is suitable.

Preparation of sheet metal lies in his annealing (see section 3), cleaning the metal surface from scale and grinding.

The surface of the metal is purified by a fine sanding skurt. Polished with a cloud coated with polished paste.

The process of polishing the surface is carried out carefully, as subsequently, after the manufacturer of the product, it is very difficult to carry out this process.

Methods of chasing.

Two main methods of chasing are known. We start with the simplest.

This method can be recommended by novice craftsmen. They call it the "method of sliding checan". With a sliding method of chasing, the working tool - the check slips on the sheet metal. With some nage, the necessary contour is squeezed out in the metal.

The second method is a classic chasing. This is a method of professionals. Everything is here - from the background to the relief - is done with the help of checks and hammers. Some shells (hammers) are used to create relief, others - to create a background.

Consider at the examples how to minimize both methods.

First carry out general, preparatory operations. On the sheet metal (billet, cut with a small allowance, purified and polished) is applied. If the pattern is thematic, then it is transferred using a copy paper or, if possible, painted with a soft pencil directly on the metal.

If the drawing is an ornamental composition, then make markup. When markup, all straight lines and starting points are made with a pencil.

After applying the picture with a special tool, the irrigated is all the contours of the picture.

Here it is necessary to tell about auxiliary materials. It is believed that professional chants use the special workbench of the design of I. A. Andriashvili. At home, the chasing is performed on a variety of lining. So, fine and clear chasing are performed on lead plates or on trimming of glyphthal (brown) linoleum.

If there is no requirement for the definition of the relief, the chasing is leading, leans under the metal sheet of rubber, chlorvinyl linoleum. To obtain a deep relief, felt is used as a lining (a hob) or a bag filled with sand. In the manufacture of particularly small chased products, professionals are used instead of lining asphalt layer, resins, etc.

, gluing a thin metal sheet on them.

Using the iron contours, the pattern and markup of the ornament is carried out, putting dense materials under the billet: lead, glyphthale linoleum. After this operation, a clear contour portrait pattern should remain on the workpiece (Fig. 19).

The chashangers using the second method, instead of delineating patterns of the drawing with the help of iron, are worked with its pointed check. The contours of the figure in this case look in the form of a series of convex points.

Consider how a thematic pattern make a sliding checan.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

The workpiece with the placed pattern is located the back side on the soft lining (felt, sandbag) and special checks begin to work out the drawing. In this case, the method (Fig. 20, a) is made of steel, make them from solid wood (Samshat, Kizil, bamboo, oak, beech, acacia, etc.). Small checks do, as a rule, steel.

For ease of use, small checks are inserted into a special handle (Fig. 20, b).

The convex parts of the figure are worked out, starting from the middle, the largest checks (Fig. 20, e). Checkan at the same time placed at right angles to the sheet and the pressure starts to rub it.

At the same time, due to the plasticity of the sheet metal, it begins to deform - a concave appears. This concavity is created throughout the contour of the picture. At the edges of the drawing use sliding flows of smaller diameter.

As the drawing occurs, it turns over and the contours are corrected by sliding passages with iron (Fig. 20, e).

If you want a thoughtful drawing to have a deep relief, then the workpiece during operation should be burned two or three times. During annealing, all the tension and the metal becomes plastic again.

Convex part of the drawing is ready. Start working out parts. The tool here serves iron with different widths of workers'.

Suppose you set the portrait (Fig. 19).

Details of the drawing minimized on both sides. Eyebrows, nose, lips are applied to the drawing on the back side, and folds on the face, eyes - with facial. In this case, various lining is used, depending on which clarity it is necessary to obtain one or another item.

When working on a pattern with the front side, the lining should lie on the convex surface (Fig.20, g), otherwise you can damage the main contour of the pattern.

Weights work in the same way as the checks, that is, they slide on metal with some pressure.

The main drawing is over. Now proceed to its decoration (design). The value of the finish in creating a beautiful work is great. Here is a certain pattern: the design must complement, and not suppress the drawing. For example, the frame is not very wide. The background should only emphasize the drawing itself, to make it more expressive.

Finishing options will be offered after the analysis of both methods of chasing. There will also be given various options for finishing finished products.

And finally, the second method is classic. At the same time, the method, as already mentioned, work only by the checks and hammers of a special form.

Cecains are cutting steel rod or accurate cylinders with a length of about 150 mm, having a processed working part (Fig. 21, a). They are used mainly to study small details of the drawing, creating background and design.

It is believed that the average set of a chancener has more than three or four dozen different checks.

Large convex parts in the classical method are performed by the hammers of various forms (Fig. 21, b), which the average chaser has more than a dozen.

Chekners, except the main tools, use some auxiliary, facilitating and accelerating work. It should be noted that the so-called doubles should be noted (Fig. 21, B).

A complaint (fixed in a special handle) with pressure is carried out on the sheet metal lying on the corresponding lining. Depending on the drawing on the pump itself, the metal is obtained or a number of points 1, or a number of parallel tweeks 2, or cross 3, or a mugs 4.

When creating a convex figure, larger routines of the rounded form without drawing are used. They work in about the same way as with the method of sliding checan. Especially efficiently use of nozzles when processing edges circuit pattern. In this case, the convex contour from the inside is treated with major kumps,

  1. And leakovitse-shaped kumps are separated by the edge of the contour outside.
  2. Hard assistance is applied when working on the framework.
  3. Applying a ruler and several different knots, you can make a clear and beautiful frame.

Usually begin with small chased works, such simple, as a medallion (Fig. 20, B), hairpin (Fig. 20, d), frame for a picture or mirror, etc. These things must have an simple geometric pattern. When working with them, beginners "feel" the metal is perceived in fact the physical properties of the metal, they think their drawings and T, d.

As experience accumulates, beginner checks are moving to more difficult tasks.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Below is the process of portrait chasing by the second method. It is told about the subtleties of the study of details, as the portrait consider one of the complex works. All the subtleties of study will be useful for the creation of works of another topic.

A drawing is applied to the prepared sheet. Checkan number 1 shown in Fig. 21, and, with an interval of 2-3 mm, the contour of the pattern with all the details in the form of a line of convex points.

The depth of the contour is different.

Depending on what actually there is an outline at the end of the work, that is, in order for further processing, the point was not visible in the figure, this operation is performed by iron.

Almost all experienced chasters use both methods. In this case, the chased works on the beauty of the performance only won.

By making the contour of the picture, proceed to the elaboration of the convex details of the drawing. At the same time, hammers and large checks are used. The convex details are not worked out - they are completed during the final processing of the pattern.

After this work is completed, go to the processing of small parts, which are crucial: eyes, eyebrows, eyelids, nose, etc.

It is necessary to make a reservation again that the author specially selected in the form of an example is the manufacture of portrait pattern. This is perhaps the most difficult thing in the chasing. Oshiving, of course, not immediately, the details, and then the manufacture of the entire portrait, the craftsmen will make any chased thing.

Consider the methods of processing all small portrait details.

Eye on a chased pattern, if the dimensions of the figure are small, sometimes do in the form of contour concave or convex points; Pupil - in the form of a large point (Fig. 22, a).

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

With a large drawing, the eyes are made in several ways. Some masters leave an eye without a pupil, emphasizing only eyelids (Fig. 22, b). In this case, on the back of the checks of a certain shape (Changes m 2 and 3, Fig. 21, a) gradually knock the profiles of both centuries. From the outdoor side, the profile of the eyelid is corrected by a narrow iron so that the boundaries are clearer.

If you need to make pupils from GDLZ, do this. Eyelids do the same as in the previous case. The circuit of the rainbow shell is knocked out with a chased form (No. 4, Fig.

21, a) Outside the pattern, slightly blurting the check. The pupil is knocked out with a facial side with a large check (m 3, Fig. 2), a) for one blow. The rainbow shell is covered with a network of small notes (Fig.

22, c) do it on a solid lining.

To emphasize the bulge of the eye, the contour of the eye protein (Fig. 22, g) is knocked out from the back side (Fig. 22, d), subclause-molding soft lining (felt, rubber, etc.).

How to minimize the nose in the picture? If it is a profile drawing, then it is done without much difficulty using the checks No. 2 and 3 (Fig. 21, a).

With a drawing in the face, the nose to be relatively difficult. Here are used in the check No. 2 and 3 and are treated in such a sequence. Worry the nose from the back side, putting a soft lining. From the outdoor side all the time hesitate the edges using a hips iron (Fig. 22, e).

When processing the nose, it is necessary to remember that in the upper part, near the abnormal arcs, the nose should not be convex.

Hair on the second method is minted as follows. If the portrait is large, then they are depicted in the form of large strands (Fig. 22, e). If the portrait of medium sizes (500x350 mm), then the hair is minted in different ways.

Through the hair in the form of relatively large curls, working on the hair lines with irons (Fig. 22, g). Sometimes, strands are worked with lentil or sulfur-shaped shephans (No. 4 and 5, Fig. 21, a).

On portraits of the middle and fine size mines the hair with irons. This method of chasing very accurately transfers the beauty of female hair (Fig. 22, 3). On the landscape paintings this method mines the flows of water, dunes, vecani, etc.

Consign the mustache and eyebrows on portraits can be different. In small portraits, the mustache is minted in the same way as the hair mines: with the help of iron (Fig. 22, and). Perform an iron on the back of the line (on the lining of medium softness), correcting them from the front side. In the same way, they make eyebrows, by ironing two lines from the back of the sheet.

On the portraits of the medium size of the mustache and eyebrows are made in the same way as in the first case, but the space between the two lines obtained from the aircraft passage, it is accumulated with a beken of a suitable form (Fig. 22, k).

In large paintings, eyebrows and mustache minimize about the same way as the hair (Fig. 22, g), that is, the checks give large strands or curls, and then worry hair lines with irons. As mentioned earlier, the finishing of the chased work affects its quality.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

One of the common and affordable art entries is a chasing. In the chasonka, the main patience. In order to make the chasing, you do not need to possess abstract thinking or any other creative skills, just need material, the tool share fantasy and patience. It is very simple to make a chasing, and it is about this that it is written in this article.

How and from what to make a chasing:

This article describes how to make a chasing on a sheet of fine metal, you all need a tin, whether it is a foil, or tin can (I cut the used cylinder from the mounting foam). More for the chasing you will need a sketch of that pattern that you want to squeeze Figure No. 1.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metalFigure number 1 - Foil and sketch for chasing

Immediately I want to note that in the case of the foil, the chasonka is extruded, and not knocked out.

Metal chasing do it yourself:

You need to cut a sheet of fuster suitable in size for your drawing. And stick from the opposite side to the carved sheet of tinted your drawing, which you want to get on the chasing Rioko№2.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metalFigure 2 - Sticking the drawing on tin

Naturally, take into account that the drawing is pasted from the back side, but it will be squeezed on the front (maybe the drawing will need to be inversely print or draw). Also, your drawing should fit tightly to the back of the foil and do not shine (I recommend simply stick the picture by glue).

When the picture of your chasing is well glued to the back side of the tin. You can only be patient and start squeezing your chasing watering along the drawing lines blunt hardware type of screwdriver or spoon or hats bolt (depending on what and what accuracy you want to get) Figure No. 3.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metalFigure No. 3 - result of extrusion drawing in tin - chasing

For the sample, it will be worthwhile, but if you are going to professionally engage such ore art, then you will need to think about specific instruments and make them yourself - that in other times no more difficult than the process of the chacking process in such a way.

P.S.: I tried to visually show and describe not cunning tips. I hope that at least something will be useful to you. But this is not all that it is possible to invent, so dare, and look through the site

How to make a chasunk

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Metal art processing came to us from antiquity, when a person learned to melting and process the metal. In contrast to stamping from forms (matrices) or casting, Checking on metal Deeper gives the mastery of human hands and retains the original originality of the handwriting of the master. In the chasing on metal should avoid petties and naturalism of images.

To work it is better to take copper, brass or aluminum sheets with a thickness of 0.2-0.6 mm. Aluminum sheets can be taken thick from 0.4 to 0.8 mm. Before you begin to work, you should cut off the plate in the size of the planned composition, but with a reserve of 3-5 mm on flights. The edges of the sheet are carefully processed along the edges of the files with propions so that there are no burrs.

Copper blank must first split, warm hot, and then quickly immerse in water. The brass plate is cooled after heating, without immersing in water. Aluminum sheets do not need to heat at all.

For work, you need hammers of various profiles, punches, checkers, ironing. All the listed tools should be processed as diligent, to achieve the correct shape of the working surface, pollute and polish. Before grinding and polishing, tools should be split, then harden and grind and polish the chasing until all dents and scratches disappear.

Chacking: copper chasing with your own hands for metal

Tools for chasing

For the chasing, you need to have two plumbing hammers with square and round ends, a roofing works, a breakfasts of different sizes, 3-4 dental hammer, one of which should be left as it is, and the rest to remake, as shown in the picture.

From the runners you can make different checks and punches. Chekanes and pins are made of steel rods with a diameter of 10-16 mm, 100-120 mm long.

The hot rods are treated with different files, they are scrambled on sharpening and grind out sandpaper, and finally polished polishing paste for steel. After processing, the punches and the checks need to harden again.

To do this, they are warmed up to cherry-red and immerse them in water or oil. Well hardened cecans or poinss, a file does not take. The newcomer must have a set of checks and punches of various sizes and shapes.

With metal it is necessary to handle carefully so that there are no breaks. When the image is worked out with one, the inner side, the metal sheet is turned over the face and begin to work on the background, lowering the metal around the figure, making it relief. So repeat several times until you receive a complete composition.

When there is a total volume of figures, backgrounds and various parts, you can proceed to the texture processing of the product - the transmission of the character of the surface of the figure, the background, the details. It is smooth, rough, covered with dots or dents.

The texture is treated on a lead or wooden litter. Large dents are made on a soft litter, small - on solid. The chacon of the background should be different from the character of the chasing shapes.

When work on the figure, the background and items is completed, the metal plate should be folded. The fold and flange will be even if the bend line is to outline with a smoother or a pencil for a metal line.

Having bent the sides at a right angle to a metal plate or a wooden vehicle, you can go to the final processing stage of the product: Cherkaya, polishing and lightening.

Blacks and clarification of metal during chasing

The blackness lies in the fact that copper or brass quickly cover in any oxidizing agent. Brass with nitric acid, heated plate on fire. It is necessary to ensure that the acid does not hit the hands, because of which it is applied to the blatant plate, or a piece of fabric tied to a wand.

And be sure to do it in the exhaust closet or in the air. Heat the metal on the gas burner or soldering lamp, bringing to the fire, not coated with acid. The product is kept over the fire with pliers. At first, the work will turn green, and with further heating - turning.

It can be cooled several times with acid and warm up.

For brand of copper, sweat and sulfur use: two parts of the potash and one part of the sulfur is overtaken over fire and bred in boiling water; This mixture is loose with a brush or a rut and cover metal. Copper Chernywood without heating.

After the blackness, the necessary places brighten up, rubbing them with felt or polishing paste. Finished work is placed on a wooden board.

To transfer the pattern to the metal, the ironing is needed, it is made of steel strips 1.5x15 mm or 2 × 20 mm. The working end of the ironing is treated, attached a handle and a smoothlink ready. It is necessary only during the processing of the working part to ensure that the tip is somewhat rounded, so that when pressing the image lines do not cut through the metal plate.

For chasing, it is also required steel, lead or wooden stove, felt, resin mixed with cement or chalk. These materials are put under the metal plate when they apply a drawing. As the substrate you can use solid lull or clay.

For work requires scissors for metal, pliers, kitchenware, files and a metal line. The chasing starts with the transfer of the drawing on the metal plate, for this, the composition is attached with paper clips to the plate so that it does not slide, and the iron loss is pushing the contour of the image to the metal.

After the contour was transferred, it is necessary to extract metal with pins, hammers, chaskan and punches so that a relief pattern formed on the record.

The plate with the applied pattern of the pattern is lay on the resin, clay, felt or another litter face down and beaten from the reverse side with hammers, checks and punches on the inner contour, resulting in relief.

They are performed from metal and wood.

For chasing, materials such as brass, copper and some others are used. In the manufacture of jewelry, gold, silver, platinum, etc. are used as the main material. Metal thickness can be from 0.2 to 1 mm.

The art of chasing dates back to its roots during the time of the ancient world, as an example, you can bring a gold mask from Mycenae.

Checking - handmade

Checking - handmade

The drawing is minted on a metal sheet, pre-laying it on a birch or lime ridge. In addition to them, rubber, bag with sand apply as a substrate. Some masters are applied from lead.

By the way, without a chasing, there were no mint yards on which coins were minted. They are made of metal with a thickness of more than 1 mm. To obtain high-quality and accurate reliefs, special presss are used, with a pre-installed stamp that draws and the necessary inscriptions are applied. The press ensures the force necessary for the blow, the deforming surface to the required state.

By the way, regardless of the type of chasing, it is completed.

The main types of Checkancay

There are several types of chasing - bulk and flat. Volumetric is distinguished by a high form of relief. Flat, on the contrary, has a low relief. Each of these species has a number of advantages. Undoubtedly, the volumetric relief looks more effectively, in fact, it is 3D technologies implemented in metal, for example, the volume can be attributed to the volume of pipes. On the other hand, a flat chasing for metal wears more openwork and this can be considered a sign of high artistic style.

Types of chasanka
Types of chasanka
Metal volumetric chasing
Metal volumetric chasing

The volumetric chacon of metal is a much more complex technological process. Moreover, the processing of the details such as methods can lead to deformation of the base metal.

Meanwhile, the volume art chasing on metal refers to products with high artistic value.

By the way, archaeologists still find products of embossed artistic chasing for metal, made of thin sheets of gold and silver. The masters of antiquity owned the methods of casting these metals, but preferred to use more subtle ways of making decorations.

Materials and tools for chasing

For chasing, various varieties of metals are used. The main property that determines the possibility of using the material for the production of chasing - plasticity, that is, the metal must be deformed under the influence of external forces and at the same time not to collapse.

Tools for chasing

Tools for chasing

Most often, the wizard uses sheet material with a thickness of 0.4 to 1 mm. For work on the execution of volumetric relief, materials are used with greater thickness, for example, copper, with a thickness of about 2 mm.

Jewelers in their work use gold and silver alloys. Slightly less they operate with red copper and alloys based on it.

Red copper is known since ancient times. It has a plasticity required by viscosity, but the main thing is that this material is able to restore its plastic properties on heat treatment. Copper is easy to minimize, she can be given the most different shape. On its surface it is possible, without special difficulties to perform a high paint. It is well polished and polished, but the products made of copper are quickly losing the applied shine.

Copper for chasanka

Copper for chasanka

Copper and alloys based on it differs high resistance to corrosion. They can be stored in air without much difficulties. These and some other characteristics allowed to use copper as a basic material for performing volumetric and flat chasing.

In addition to copper, materials such as bronze, brass and some others are widely used.

Aluminum is quite easily subjected to a chasing, but working with it requires a sufficient share of caution. Metal has a low melting point and precisely for this it is necessary to monitor in the process of heat treatment.

Product made of Melchior

Product made of Melchior

Melchior has the necessary degree of plasticity, is well subjected to polishing, and under the influence of some reagents it can change color.

By the way, from metals made on the basis of aluminum, there is a Dural mansion. But working with it is conjugate with a number of technical difficulties, so when it is processed, it is difficult to maintain the integrity of the sheet, while it is used to simulate silver.

In addition, non-agricultural, non-agricultural, non-carbon metals are used for chasing. Before work, such steel is annealed and treated surface. It is difficult to handle the chasing tool, but it is difficult to replace it in the finish. The steel of this class, as well as roofing this metal is used to obtain large embossed images that do not need careful detail.

Steel for chasanka

Steel for chasanka

Steels containing in their composition is a beautiful metal, but it is difficult to chasing. It is used for monuments, monuments, etc.

When choosing a metal for a chasing, it is necessary to take into account that it should not be stratified, there should be no defects on the surface, for example, spots, cracks, etc.

Before starting work, metal, regardless of the brand is subjected to heat treatment - annealing. To perform this operation, either traditional soldering lamps, or muffle furnaces are used. Copper is annealed at a temperature of from 650 to 700 degrees, brass 620 - 650, steel 600 - 650. For cooling, various media is used, for example, cold water is used for cooling.

The main working body, with the help of which the chasing is performed is the checks. They are performed using forging. They are made in the form of rods of different sections and having a length from 12 to 17 cm.

In the work, the check is held in the left hand, while the elbow is on the weight. This guarantees the freedom of movement of the hand. Checkan hold in such a way that he always spoke back, so that the battlement was slightly raised. As shots are applied by a hammer for a chasing, which the master holds in the other hand, the tool moves forward.

  1. медный или алюминиевый лист;
  2. лист резины или фанеры, который будет служить подложкой для выполнения чеканки;
  3. инструмент для выполнения контурной и объемной чеканки;

When you make them to make them you need to let go and boot can be soldered when they have to clean up the desired shape, from the beginning they release the heated heated to the scarlet red color to cool and processed - they are cutting off, the metal is well processing. When you finish processing the metal go tools, then you need to harden. To do this, heating the solderlamp to the end to the bright red color, and omit in the engine oil.

The chief chassis is a consumility, it looks like a screwdriver, only the edges are a lot of rounded, which is supposed to when you beat a hammer on Chekane, he slid softly drew ahead left a smooth deepening. To this you need to somehow. Train yourself, take a piece of metal plate, I used to use an allying plate, it was cheap, the thickness is about 3, 4, 5, mm. . Thin metal can be possible without a hammer and checked, by squeezing with hands with hand-made tools, but this topic is separate.

This checkman, vote the contour of your drawing, leaving a uniform recess. Put consumes a drawing line and start to knock the hammer to the commercially, your brain begins to understand how you need to knock on the check and what kind of silly to the blow, so as not to break the metal and the recess should be smooth, try to do without jan. The contour is better to knock on a hardwood wooden surface, a harmon smooth board, put on the board, you can grab the nails of the edge-altar plate to the tree, so that it is convenient to pass the contours of the figure, the metal plate was knocked out. When you cost the whole drawing of the "consumable", then you need to be revealed from the board. A drawing remained on the board, the board can be back internally, and then the next workpiece to do on it. Your metal has become elastic, and it led to diverse. To do this, make a fir, warming up your metal plate, gradually by a soldering lamp before the redsman, all the plate, see do not stagger, how the redness appeared, another plot is repaired, and gradually get the whole plate of burning so that your metal give leave, it becomes soft and flexible and supple .

Then you can handle your job Refractor and black, which appeared when you burned the metal.

You can not do this if you are a beginner, the important thing is to understand the whole process of work. I wipe the metal of the metal dark, novel, and without whitening. Well, according to the rules and better option, you should make so. It is treated with a special solution, it is made of 5 - 10% aqueous solution of sulfuric acid. Budevitative with sulfuric acid, it is very dangerous and harmful. The main thing is to pour sulfuric acid into the water If you wake up the vice versa, the solution will boil, and sulfuric acid wakes splashing, and can damage it to you. You need to pour a thin jet and continuously interfiled with a stag. Bath housing makes red copper or lead, delay in iron casing. It is necessary to use in gloves and apropurea manufacturer. Stop or remove your work, useable tongs. When you were removed from the solution, it is necessary to flush, and dried and dried. Work becomes clean and bright and awake, all your work all lines, not straining vision. After drying, go to another procedure.

Attach to a flat wooden planked by a planer so that the surface is smooth and smooth without any of the mehers, a specially carved board under your job a little more so that you can attach to the nearest, put your work from the metal from the front side where you passed consumers . Bechean, Chekhan lobcot and start to knock, on the check by the hammer to the scattering of your contour of the pattern omit down the metal, metal around your drawing, where you passed consumers All the dependent on your drawing and its complexity. Checkan Lyszotnik There should be a different size small large. To conveniently be conveniently held by all places where you need to lower the metal. You have to develop intuition, where you need to lower the metal, and other places to leave, in short, by increasing volume, the lower metal is lowered, the top remains.

After the chasane is charged bulkman Your Gdeetall places should be lowered down. Go to the next procedure. Removed byemetall with wooden board. We look at the metal if it strongly pulled himself, revolt its work back from the metal. Metal has become soft or daily.

You must have a rubber bill, the size of your ability so that your job has accommodated on it, in which you will knock out the volume from the back of your work. To do this, you need to find a rubber plate or elastic felt, I use rubber-splash on the desktop, a piece of conveyor belt for serving coal, thick -normal and not much elastic. But you can use any rubberplastic, I wrote for an example where I found.

For this you need a check, Possinn. The end is similar to the hemisphere. Checkan Possinn. We need a different size if you need to need a large volume, then you can use wooden checks that you can make a tree themselves. Brucks of different volumes, ends should be concentrated like a pillow and can easily knock out a large volume. You have a big bug that wakes smooth, and beautiful. Large volumes with small details, it is better made specially prepared resin. Make a box .... The continuation should be followed, I will complement ....
